Is President Obama a socialist? Now, the definitive answer: Yes -- and the proof is hidden in his past
Barack Obama's opponents sense something more radical in his efforts to be a "transformational" president than mainstream Democratic Party liberalism. But is it fair to call him a socialist? Stanley Kurtz began his investigation into Obama's political beliefs with every expectation of answering that question "no." Now, however, after two years of digging into hitherto unexplored archives and other sources, he has changed my mind. "I am now convinced that the president of the United States is -- literally -- a socialist." In Radical-in-Chief: Barack Obama and the Untold Story of American Socialism, he explains why.
As Kurtz reveals, from adolescence right through to his adult political career, Obama lived and worked at the very center of a socialist world. How is that possible? After all, before he ran for office, Obama was immersed in the universe of community organizing -- not "socialism." But that, writes Kurtz, is the link. Community organizing is a socialist world. The reason most people don't know that is that community organizers consciously disguise their socialism.
In fact, reveals Kurtz, Obama's colleagues and mentors were some of the sharpest and most influential stealth-socialist community organizers in the country. The Roots of Obama's Rage by Dinesh D'Souza
Barack Obama: even as his presidency approaches the halfway point, he remains to a great degree an enigma to friend and foe alike. Conservatives have pointed out his hardcore socialist ideology, his immersion in African-American radicalism, and his uncritical endorsement of the failed policies of big government liberalism. But now bestselling author argues that all that is not what is really driving Barack Obama to make the disastrous decisions he continues to make as president. In his shocking new book, The Roots of Obama's Rage, D'Souza explains that the real reasons why Obama appears bent on working to destroy America from within can be found in the first of our callow and self-absorbed president's two autobiographies, Dreams From My Father.
This is no secret. In fact, Obama himself admits in the book that his earliest experiences formed the outlook that he has carried through his political career. Obama, says D'Souza, is his father's son, and his dreams are derived from his father's aspirations and failures. The Roots of Obama's Rage thus focuses on the deeply hostile anti-colonialism that Barack Obama, Sr., instilled in his son -- a worldview that has led the man who is now president to resent America and everything for which we stand. Viewing Obama through this anti-colonialism prism and drawing evidence from the president's own life and writings, D'Souza masterfully demonstrates how Obama is working to weaken and punish America here and abroad -- in accord with the picture of America as the world's bogeyman that he internalized in his early youth.
D'Souza shows how Obama, as he enacts crippling financial reforms and sets artificial withdrawal dates in Iraq and Afghanistan, Obama is not working in America's best interests by any measure. Instead, he is trying to muzzle the capitalism that he is convinced is exploiting the weak. Likewise, Obama is more concerned with reining in what he regards as America the Oppressor than he is with actually winning the war on terror.
There are numerous other examples of Obama's embarrassment with and distaste for Western civilization and its legacy of freedom. D'Souza also points out that the Churchill bust in the Oval Office -- given to the U.S. by Tony Blair after the September 11 attacks -- was banished from the Obama White House almost immediately after the president took office, and unceremoniously sent back to Britain. He reveals how Obama's conference on Iran and North Korea's nuclear weapons programs ended with nothing being done about Iran and North Korea, but with reductions in the Soviet and American stockpiles. D'Souza even explores the ominous implications of Obama's twenty years in the Afrocentric church of the Reverend Wright, noting that Obama was first attracted to this racist, far-Left church by a sign outside that said: FREE AFRICA.

Show 616 Documentary Islam Rising. Part 1 of 4. Audio MP3 On May 1, 2010 Christian Action Network (CAN) and PRB Films released a new documentary entitled, Islam Rising, a film that exposes the dangers of radical Islam to the Western world and features the internationally acclaimed Dutch politician, Geert Wilders. Mr. Wilders, who is currently running for Prime Minister in the Netherlands, lives under a constant death threat for producing his own film, Fitna. His film shows how radical Islamists are simply following the dictates of the Quran in their attempt at world domination through violence, murder and infiltration. As a special feature of Islam Rising, Mr. Wilders’ own controversial film, Fitna, is included. Geert Wilders is currently on trial in The Netherlands for his alleged "hate speech" against Islam and has almost single-handedly brought global attention to the Islamic infiltration and dominance of Europe. Though CAN does not endorse all the views of Mr. Wilders made in the film, the Dutch parliamentarian warns that if the growing Islamic takeover of Europe is not stopped, the West could be faced with a "thousand years of darkness." As part of its promotion for Islam Rising, CAN will be displaying billboards along major interstates of the east coast. Six billboards will be on display, starting in South Carolina, by the middle of April. Islam Rising will debut in Washington, D.C. on May 1 in the Rayburn House Office Building. More than 500 people are expected to be in attendance. The New English Review raves: "We hope that Islam Rising receives a wide public viewing especially by Members of Congress. It is a testimony that one man can make a difference." Martin Mawyer, president of CAN, says, "Islam Rising is a daring film. It's a dangerous film.
