Show 1108 Part 8 of Prager University: Get the Education You Missed in 5 minutes
1. Welcome: Prager University
To watch the video visit-
How would you like to learn a lot... in a short amount of time? A major infusion of knowledge in, say, five minutes? And what if those five minutes distilled the best ideas of some of the best minds in the world?
Sound like something that might interest you? If so, you've come to the right place.
At Prager University, five minutes is all the time we need to communicate many of the most important ideas in life. No less an authority than Abraham Lincoln confirms this view. His Gettysburg Address, widely considered the most important speech in American history, is all of 272 words -- less than a third the length of our courses.
The trick is clarity. All of our courses are clear, as well as concise and on point. Just as a shot of espresso boosts your energy, a shot of Prager University boosts your brain. Because not only will you have more knowledge -- you will have more wisdom.
If you think I'm exaggerating, there's an easy way to find out. Just watch a course...
Knowledge. Wisdom. Clarity. That's Prager University.

2. America's Debt Crisis Explained
To watch the video visit-
Fact: America's national debt stands at $17 trillion. That's a tough number to grasp. Most people will never come close to making $1 million in any given year. How can we understand the magnitude of the hole our country is in? Well, imagine you owed your credit card company $200,000. On top of that you have to pay them about $4,000 per year in interest. You are bringing in $150,000 per year, but you are spending way more than that. How are you going to ever pay back that $200,000 debt? And what happens if you default? Well, that is America today. The problem is clear. And we brought Michael Tanner, a senior fellow at the Cato Institute, to propose a solution.
3. The Least Free Place in America
To watch the video visit-
Question: Which American institution—one that prides itself on being open, democratic, and diverse—punishes its members severely for offering unpopular opinions, while it offers them a very narrow, limited worldview? Answer: Universities. Once the vanguard of open debate and free speech, colleges have become a place where alternative thinking goes to die. Students who speak out on behalf of traditional American ideals, unfortunately, are often silenced by college administrators. Learn how the college campus, a place that should be an intellectual melting pot, has turned into anything but, violating the rights of those who have alternate opinions.
Lecturer: Greg Lukianoff, President at The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education. His book, "Unlearning Liberty," is available on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Unlearning-Libe...
Why be Happy?
To watch the video visit-
Dennis Prager talks about one of humanity's biggest pursuits--happiness. It's mentioned in the Declaration of Independence. Therapists and psychologists (and even pharmaceutical companies!) make their careers out of helping people be and feel happy. And we all know that being unhappy, and being around unhappy people, is no fun. Dennis will discuss why happiness, while great for personal and emotional reasons, is far more than a selfish pursuit. It is a moral obligation. Being happy around others is a necessary ingredient of growing up and accumulating friends. No one likes a Moody Mary. Also, more happiness makes for a better world. After all, how many of the world's dictators and tyrants are motivated by happiness? None! So, learn how to be happy and learn why being happy is so important.
5. Why Rent Control Hurts Renters

6. Is Evil Rational?
To Watch the video-
Is evil rational? If it is, then how can we depend on reason alone to make a better world? Best-selling author Dennis Prager has a challenging answer.
7. Feminism 2.0
We hear it all the time: "America is patriarchal!", "American women are oppressed!". Well, a lifelong feminist and former National Organization for Women member, Tammy Bruce, is tired of hearing it--and she has a solution laid out in our newest video: Feminism 2.0. One that tells women that they should be proud to act feminine. One that tells them that simply copying men and masculine traits is actually demeaning to women. One that honors all responsible choices, including becoming a wife and mother.

Show Game Plan: How to Protect Yourself from the Coming Cyber-Economic Attack
Segment One- Kevin Freeman, Author of the book “Game Plan” talks to Glenn Beck, “How to Protect Yourself from the Coming Cyber-Economic Attack”
On The Blaze TV, Glenn Beck spoke to author Kevin Freeman about his newest book Game Plan: How to Protect Yourself from the Coming Cyber-Economic Attack. During their conversation they discussed the coming cyber-terrorism that will affect our economic future. One of the interesting topics they discussed was the taxation of savings of which Greece actually did by confiscating bank accounts through their collapse. Our financial future certainly is in jeopardy and is teetering on disaster and Freeman does an incredible job explaining that but he also offers a solution (see below)! Read Game Plan!
For the video of this interview and many others visit Becks booklist site at-
http://glennbecksbooklist.com/
What are the solutions? Freeman lays them out in 8 steps:
1. Recognize the Global War is Under Way
2. Take Reasonable Precautions
3. Get Money Moving without Money Printing
4. Achieve Energy Independence
5. Reduce Regulation
6. A Workable tax Code
7. Teach What America is All About
8. Return to Our Spiritual Roots
Game Plan is the first “how to” investment handbook of its type. It will explain the emerging risks and provide a complete game plan of response for investors at all levels. Freeman will explain that there is no “one size fits all” solution as events are happening quickly and the challenges can morph suddenly. Just as a football team must plan for a variety of offensive strategies and attacks, investors must be prepared to strategically adjust. This book provides the game plan to respond and succeed.
In Game Plan you’ll learn…
The proper use of gold in your investment strategy
How stocks should be deployed in your investment portfolio
The smart way to diversify your portfolio
How to decrease your bond holding vulnerability
How to judge a guarantor in guaranteed investments
How to avoid falling into the marketing hype for Hedge Fund scams
How to find a properly trained investment advisor
How to advance wealth at the individual level
How to win the global economic war (Amazon.com)
Segment two-
Kevin Freeman, Author of the book “Game Plan speaks to the Heritage Foundation.
Show 1106 Book-Why the Universe Is the Way It Is by Hugh Ross
Dr. Hugh Ross is a Canadian American astrophysicist, Christian apologist, and old earth creationist. He joins Dennis Prager to discuss the creation story in Genesis… was it a literal seven days; what did “let there be light” mean; the difference between create and make; and what day is the Sabbath?
why the universe is the way it is.
Increasingly astronomers recognize that if the cosmos had not unfolded exactly as it did, humanity would not, could not, exist. Yet these researchers--along with countless ordinary folks--resist belief in the biblical Creator. Why? They say a loving God would have made a better home for us, one without trouble and tragedy. In Why the Universe Is the Way It Is, Hugh Ross draws from his depth of study in both science and Scripture to explain how the universe's design fulfills several distinct purposes. He also reveals God's surpassing love and ultimate purposes for each individual.
Why the Universe Is the Way It Is will interest anyone who wonders where and how the universe came to be, what or who is responsible for it, why we are here, or how and when the universe ends. Far from leaving the reader at this philosophical jumping-off point, Ross builds toward answering the big question of human destiny and the specific question of each reader's personal destiny.

Show 1102 Max Boot on guerilla warfare
Military historian Max Boot discusses current events in Syria, Iran, and his recent book Invisible Armies: An Epic History of Guerrilla Warfare from Ancient Times to Present on Uncommon Knowledge. Boot explains how guerrilla warfare has been, and still is, the most common form of conflict even today, as seen in Syria and Afghanistan. Since conventional tactics do not work for unconventional armies, Boot offers lessons to be learned and applied to today’s battles. Boot further argues that now it is more important than ever to understand the history and operation of insurgent forces.

Show 1100 Godforsaken Bad Things Happen. Is There A God Who Cares? Yes. Here’s Proof.
Dennis Prager talks to Dinesh D’Souza. His new book is Godforsaken: Bad Things Happen. Is There A God Who Cares? Yes. Here’s Proof. A Best of Prager Hour. Originally broadcast on March 13, 2012.
Overview of the Book-
For a lot of people, the biggest question about God is not, surprisingly enough, whether he exists. Instead, it is about whether God is truly good. Dinesh D'Souza, in his debates with leading atheists, quickly realized that many of those debates revolved around the question of evil in this world—how God could create a world that allowed such suffering and evil. In Godforsaken, Dinesh D'Souza takes these questions head on: Does God act like a tyrant? Is God really responsible for the evil in this world? Why is there suffering in the world? For the first time ever, Dinesh D'Souza approaches this topic with historical and scientific proof and presents to the reader why God is truly worthy of our worship and love.
